The Founder is Mrs. Poorna Kularatna [BBA], Old Visakian, Colombo majored in business studies and obtained her degree from INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGICAL STUDIES (ITS) Colombo.
She carried her university knowledge to nurture a craft dear to her heart since her childhood to make an unique to be the first Pergamano , Parchment Professional in Sri Lanka having a unenviable record of holding exhibitions in the Country and in Registered Pergamano teacher in Sri Lanka.
She believed in the concept of development of the craft by adding peers and learners to eventually to be the drivers of the craft which has since developed as an industry. For this purpose she steadfastly carried her training programs which have yielded in results with hundreds of young and not so young ladies being attracted to this craft/industry regularly.
Mrs. Poorna Kularatne is invited as regular TV presenter and much sought after by a wider audience within the Country with international viewers commenting upon her work. The Swarnavahini, ITN, and Sirasa TV Stations provide regular time slots for her responding to the popular demands of the viewers. Thus Poorna is hailed as a genuine personality who nurtured a craft unique to the Country and destined to remain in our soils for many hindered years.
Her Needle Craft Exhibitions in the 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2014 at BMICH an at J.R. Jayawardena Center attracted wide array of needle craft and art lovers and drew accolades from highest of the Country while all exhibitions becoming sell-outs of her collections.
